5th – 8th of December 2006
For several years now, Hampidjan has organised a Flume Tank Workshop during first part of December. These workshops have been widely welcomed, with up to 80 participants attending, from most parts of the world.
The main emphasis has been on midwater and bottom trawl trials while other related matters of interest have been covered with short seminars. Participants have played an active part in the trials, with their comments and requests for special tests.
SCANMAR will be participant at the workshop in Hirtshals. This is the sixth year that they are collaborating with Hampidjan at the flume tank workshop in Hirtshals. Representatives from the company will present and demonstrate all the new things they have to offer.
5th of December
Participants gather in Hirtshals, Denmark. We recommend that participants fly from Copenhagen to Aalborg with flight No. SK1221 (Scandinavian Airways), departing from Copenhagen at 20:20 and arriving in Aalborg at 21:05. A bus will drive participants, booked on this flight, from Aalborg to Hirtshals (this is about an 45min drive). Hampidjan has booked rooms on Skaga Hotel in Hirtshals for all participants. http://www.skagahotel.dk
6th to 8th of December
The Flume Tank Workshop will be held from the morning of Wednesday the 6th of December until the afternoon of Friday the 8th of December. The main activity will take place in "Nordsöcentret", at The Marine Institute Centre, situated across the street from the Hotel. http://www.sintef.dk
Scanmar’s research and demonstration vessel will be visiting the harbour again this year, equipped with a pelagic HiFlow trawl and the new OPEX Poly Ice doors from Hampidjan and a range of new sensors from Scanmar.
Departure from tank, 8th of December
A bus will drive participants from Skaga Hotel to Aalborg airport where majority of the group will join flight No. SK 1210. Departure time is 16:15, with arrival time in Copenhagen at 17:00. Participants are of course welcome to organise their departure differently and are advised to consider the transportation from Hirtshals to Aalborg.
9th to 10th of December
Many of the participants will stay in Copenhagen during the weekend of 9th to 10th of December. Hampidjan has booked rooms at Hotel Skt Petri in Copenhagen and participants are welcome to join the group. http://www.hotelsktpetri.com/
BOOKING PROCEDURES
Hampidjan has pre-booked the flume tank, buses and the hotels. Price per participant is EUR 995, including transportation from Aalborg to Hirtshals and back to Aalborg, 3 nights at the Skaga Hotel (breakfast included) and lunch at the tank area for tree days. Price for one night at the hotel in Copenhagen is EUR 215 (breakfast included).
In order to organise the workshop and all preparation we kindly ask all interested in participating to fill in the attached registration form. The form should then be faxed or e-mailed to Hampidjan or any of Hampidjan agents, listed below, before 8. November 2006.
